1. Melamine

Resin-impregnated paper is usually located on the substrate and can be used on particleboard and medium density fiberboard. The quality of melamine board mainly depends on the amount of resin deposited in the substrate. Some melamine boards stay clean for a long time and are few; usually, very cheap electronic whiteboards are used in non-institutional applications. They are used in offices and can be used in office supply stores. Their functions are very different. These boards are not suitable for many applications. In many educational situations, the original paint reappears with corrosion and appearance over time.

2. Paint or aluminum

Color-coated steel plates and aluminum also have various qualities. The appearance of paint tends to be smooth, leading to better wiping methods. The painted appearance generally consists of primer, color coating, multiple layers, and a transparent functional coating. It is a dry-erase component, with variations in ultraviolet curing electron beam coatings and other coating systems. Commercial-grade color-coated steel plates or aluminum have good dry-wipe functions; many of them will have logos, and any appearance is easy to scratch. Color-coated steel plates have an external magnetic field and allow the use of magnets. Color-coated aluminum surfaces are rarely used as the substrate of whiteboards because they are not magnetic and are more expensive than steel. Color-painted whiteboards are commonly used for custom printed whiteboards. These products are mainly used for tracking boards, patient information boards, competition and practice boards.

3. Hard film laminate

Each laminate manufacturer produces dry-erase boards or laminates; likewise, the variation here depends on the wide range of resins used to make them. Basically, this kind of coating mainly uses melamine for the dry-erase function, so it belongs to the melamine family. According to the manufacturer, these materials are usually porous and highly stain-resistant. They are less common than other electronic whiteboards because they are usually used in combinations of certain things.

4. Porcelain and enamel on steel

Ceramic is fired onto the steel surface; they are all the most used appearance and come with a lifetime warranty. They are common in many industrial environments and are very scratch-resistant. Although the material is better than glass, like diamonds, they can grab them. They do not absorb dry-erase or marker ink. They allow the use of magnets, and abrasives can be used on the surface, suitable for porcelain that has not been cleaned cleanly, then rinse with clean water to prevent alteration. Marks can be removed with transition solvents such as ethanol or acetone, isopropyl alcohol, or written over with dry-erase marks and removed.

5. Tempered glass

Tempered glass is easy to wipe off, and most tempered glass whiteboards have no structure.
